Gérard Depardieu Wines
Halfway Angers and Saumur in the heart of Anjou, the Château de Tigné resisted for ten centuries to the assaults of time. Scars of religious wars and revolution, brands of men who loved and betrayed, bruised Tigné is a castle.
Historically the vineyards surround and are part of it. In 1878 in his dictionary of the Loire Valley, Célestin Port noted that: "Huge vaults house the collection of a considerable vineyard with red wines are considered the best in the region."
It was in 1989 that Gérard Depardieu acquired the Chateau Tigné.
